Lonely Planet launches travel guides for the Indian traveller

It was a culmination of years of hard work and months of planning. On a balmy Thursday afternoon, the who’s who of Delhi dropped in at the India Habitat Centre to witness the launch of Lonely Planet India’s travel guides written for the Indian traveller. Tony Wheeler, founder of Lonely Planet is an inspiration to us all. He had flown in all the way from Melbourne to be a part of the event. He even agreed to be conjured on stage by a magician

Thailand was covered extensively in the very first book that Lonely Planet published way back in 1973. Thailand is also a country that Tony knows intimately well, so we decided that he is the best person to unveil the book. A better decision could not have been made!
