Filmmaker Shoojit Sircar’s latest Bollywood offering is the romance, October. Sircar’s movies are marked by locations that are as much part of the characters as the lead actors. October is set in both Delhi and Manali.
Manali offers conifer-cloaked green vales and gurgling brooks for anyone looking for quieter retreats and super views of the Dhauladhar and Pir Panjal ranges beckoning from all directions.

Manali is a year-round magnet for travellers and is home to a number of mountain villages dotted with tiny hill temples.
Manali, defined by lush open valleys, forested walks, pretty wood and stone homes and glorious food, is Kullu valley’s poster destination. The Manalsu stream hurtling down to the Beas gives Manali its name.
Year-round adventure activities in Manali include rafting, paragliding and trekking. Come April, travellers troop in for the mountain air and a taste of snow on the 3978m Rohtang Pass.
