A favourite for a decade and a half, there’s no way your partner will not fall in love with this place. The white pebbled courtyard, the candle lit table under the Banyan tree, the star-lit sky, the perfectly made martini and that famous wood-fired pizza are all perfect, not just for Valentine’s Day but for any romantic evening. We recommend the Duck and Citrus, the Galician inspired lobster and seaweed, the melt in the mouth Belgian Pork Belly and Sea Bass. Don’t skip the truffle flavoured risotto and make sure you save some of your appetite for the decadent Tiramisu. On Valentine’s Day they have a special five-course menu related to the five senses.

When every ingredient is brought all the way from China, you know the meal is going to be memorable. And it is not just ‘Chinese’ cuisine but from specific regions – Sichuan, Cantonese and Yunnan – so expect a lot of specialties here. Their menu has just been revamped and among the not-to-be missed dishes are the Crispy Roasted Duck with Beluga Caviar, the mud crab with pixan chilli and hot stone pot rice that gets finished on the table. You will be back for more!

Think candle lit canopies, perfectly chilled champagne, live music and some of the best Spanish food that the city has to offer. And we are not just talking of Valentine’s Day. This is Sevilla on a regular night. We have heard people come back for the tapas and wood-fired pizzas. If you are into seafood then do not miss the Seafood Medley that comes with mussels, salmon, prawns, lobster and squids.

We admire this cafe that is going all out to celebrate Valentine’s Day with hearts all over the place. The décor may be over the top but we just love it because no other cafe is quite as bold. Sit with your partner under heart-shaped cut outs hanging above you. Order zucchini fries, baked goat cheese, parma ham pizza, lamb chops with brandy sauce and tiramisu. They don’t serve alcohol so raise a toast with decadent shake or a mocktail.

Walk into one of the finest Italian restaurants in the city and you’ll feel as if you’ve been transported to Tuscany – especially when you eat the delicious food. They’ve gone that extra mile and have set up canopies on Valentine’s Day for you to enjoy a warm candle lit evening. They have a set menu on this day which includes cannelloni, spinach and ricotta agnolotti. It is done up so perfectly that you would not want to leave the place.

Sky High

This rooftop eatery in Ansal Plaza looks pretty with a white pebbled path leading you to the table that’s perfectly set up for your date with a 360 degree view of the city. Instead of popping the bubbly, why not go for something different – shots – they have a variety of them. The menu is a mix of various cuisines so take your pick. Don’t miss the chocolate fondue and the jhumta hua gulab jamun that’s flambé with vodka. You’ll leave the place happier.
