Ganesh visarjan

Mumbai gets totally swept up by the 10-day celebration of Lord Ganesh’s birth. On the festival’s first, third, fifth, seventh and 11th days, families and communities take their Ganesh statues to the seashore and auspiciously submerge them.

The frenzied and energetic Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations are now sadly over but here are a few glimpses of the visarjan in Mumbai.
