From our Editor: I love walking tours…

Photographer: Justin Foulkes

My favourite way to get a feel for a new city is by taking a walking tour. It helps me work out the lay of the land, and I love the little insights and asides a good tour guide tosses you while showing you their little corner of the world. I usually return to sites I like and spend more time at them, but that first introduction from a local is invaluable.

This issue, we look at different ways to explore new destinations, or, as always with LPMI, to revisit familiar places with a new perspective. There’s a wonderful menu of experiences in India, as well as great walking features set in Snowdonia in Wales and across less-visited parts of Greece. Our bonus feature is on California and we guarantee you’ll want to try each one of the 10 fun things to do in the Golden State.

As we go to press, we’re watching the horizon for rain clouds and we know many of you are too, so we’re sure you’ll enjoy our special monsoon stays section.

Till we meet again, stay cool!
