The Lonely Planet Magazine India 2015 Awards

It wasn’t us, it was you.

After our Expert Panel shortlisted nominees, YOU, our readers, voted for your choices in our 32 categories, selecting your favourite destinations, your preferred hotels – and above all, your favourite travel experiences; you have yourself anointed the best in travel for this year.

You’ve done a good job, lauding your fave places to stay, the destinations you love kicking back at, and a whole lot more. And though they’re called the Lonely Planet Magazine India Travel Awards, their prestige comes solely from you. After all, we might be a big name in travel, but we’re nothing compared to the travellers, the people we write for – so give yourselves a pat on the back. You deserve a Blue Balloon as much as all of the winners.

And, as always, let’s hope the winners go on trying to earn your love – and that the runners-up try harder, because the main thrust, the absolute core of these awards, is to make sure you have the time of your life, year after year.
